General service description
With the IP-Plus SMS/Pager Gateway, IP-Plus customers have the possibility to send e-mail messages to Natel/GSM SMS and/or Telepage Swiss. IP-Plus only forwards messages from customers who have registered for the service. The service is available exclusively for IP-Plus customers.
Addressing
The addressing to a SMS recipient is:
xxxnnnnnnn@sms.ip-plus.net, whereas xxx stands for the network used (f.ex. 079 for the network of Swisscom Mobile) and nnnnnnn for the recipient's Natel/GSM number.
The addressing to a Telepage Swiss recipient is:
0740nnnnnn@pager.ip-plus.net, whereas nnnnnn stands for the recipient's Telepage Swiss number.
The gateway accepts multiple addressed messages. The maximum account of addresses per e-mail is limited to 20.
Quality of service
Customer Support (CSU): 7days/24 hrs.
SLA: there is no guaranteed Service Level, it's our goal to reach 99,8% availability.

the delivery of messages to such networks. The Customer Support (CSU) will not be
able to support customers in the case of problems with networks out of Swisscom's
control. Please see the

phone roaming is possible and SMS sending is not.

Messages to Telepage private (074 4 nn nn nn) cannot be relayed at the present time.

or
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

are correctly encoded and sent.
Delivery/Non-Delivery notifications
As a default, no Delivery or Non-Delivery Notifications will be sent back to the originator.
If there is a "Reply-To" header field specified, a notification (positive or negative) is sent back to the originator in any case.
If there is a "Errors-To" header field specified, you will only be notified in the case of a negative (non) delivery.
In case you need to know the format of the Deliver/Non-Delivery Notifications, please contact the IP-Plus support.
Security
The access control to the SMS/Pager Gateway is IP address based. The customer has to assure, that his own mailhost is not misused by third parties.
Message delivery & availability of the gateways
SMS and/or Telepage messages can be sent from any IP based e-mail software. The relevant mailhost has to be registered by IP-Plus. It's important, that all numbers are sent without any spaces or hypens.
